All Community Call Q2 2021 - Wrap Up
The FINOS team would like to say thank you to everyone who attended last week’s FINOS All Community Call. It was amazing to see over 130 people from across the FINOS Community sharing updates from FINOS Projects, SIGs and the FINOS team.
The FINOS All Community Call was opened by Gabriele Columbro, FINOS Executive Director, who started by wishing FINOS a happy third birthday by taking us all down memory lane of successful in-person and virtual Open Source Strategy Forum conferences. Gab then announced the possible return of in-person OSSF events in New York and London this year!
Gab then moved on to demonstrate the growth of the FINOS community and how FINOS community engagement has moved from email and meeting attendance, to code commits and pull requests by banks and technology firms alike. Thank you all for your amazing contributions into financial services open source through FINOS.
After welcoming new FINOS members and announcing the formation of the Financial Objects and Open Source Readiness SIGs the call swiftly moved on to the FINOS Community Specification for Standards Governance and FINOS Community Recognitions, led by James McLeod, FINOS Director of Community.
The highlight of the FINOS All Community Call was the energy and enthusiasm of the eleven FINOS Project and SIG maintainers who joined the call. The maintainers gave lightning updates that absolutely highlighted the success of their initiatives, and how new collaborators can get involved in open source initiatives right across the FINOS Landscape.
The FINOS team would like to thank the following project and SIG leads for joining the FINOS All Community Call and dedicating their time to making FINOS a successful open source foundation.
