This year at FINOS we are focusing on one of FINOS' key existing projects: Open Source Readiness. This is FINOS' term for helping the finance industry "do open source properly". 

Let’s talk about certifications! 

It’s a FINOS goal for 2023 to provide not only tailored finance-specific courses on how to correctly consume and contribute to open source, but also to allow practitioners to get certified in these areas.  

The road to building a certification is a fairly long one, but the first step is to gather keen Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and build a panel of beta-testers who will be the first to try to attain a shiny “FINOS / TODO Open Source Certified Practitioner” badge.   

With that in mind, we would like to ask for help from the community:  

Could you be a beta-tester or a Subject Matter Expert in this area?
