This year at FINOS we are focusing on one of FINOS' key existing projects: Open Source Readiness. This is FINOS' term for helping the finance industry "do open source properly".
Hello everyone, welcome to another weekly Open Source Readiness blog update! A couple of dates for your diary:
- OSR SIG Meeting - this is happening on Wednesday 2pm UK time / 9am EST. We’ll probably be talking about training required for open source contributions, at least in part. The agenda is still up for grabs so let me know if there’s a pressing open source topic you want to talk about! Find the invite in the community calendar.
- FINOS Open House (open to everyone) - this is being held at JP Morgan’s Embankment offices on 14th June and will include a presentation on the Body Of Knowledge and why we need one for open source in finance. Sign Up Here
- The following day, 15th June, FINOS Members Meeting at the same location. We have a number of Open Source Readiness related talks and discussions going on so if you’re working for a FINOS member firm you should come and make yourself heard. Sign Up Here
In the meantime, we’ve finished merging Community Engagement, Training and Maintaining OSS Based Projects into the Body of Knowledge. Grab a cup of tea and a biscuit and check out those links!
