This year at FINOS we are focusing on one of FINOS' key existing projects: Open Source Readiness. This is FINOS' term for helping the finance industry "do open source properly".

6th September 2023: Open Source Readiness SIG Meeting
I’ve missed the last couple of OSR SIG meetings due to summer holidays but I’m looking forward to getting back next Wednesday.
As I mentioned recently, we have a bunch of PRs ready to merge and I’m hoping we can merge them either before or during this meeting, as it represents quite a lot of work from the community.
Please help out if you can, and I look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
8th September 2023: FINOS / TODO Certified Financial Service Open Source Developer Exam (Kick Off)
We’re finally ready to start writing questions for the OSR Exam! After much work, we’ve built and agreed on the syllabus for this exam (thanks to everyone who completed the Subject Matter Expert Survey).
We know what subjects the questions will be on, and how many for each subject. Next, we’re going to have a rapid 6 weeks of creating approx. 200 questions for the exam.

We already have well over 100 people lined up to take the exam when it goes into “Beta” just in time for…
1st November 2023: Open Source in Finance Forum (OSFF)
OSR are going to have a booth at the OSFF where you can try out the exam, take a look at the Open Source Contribution in Finance course or read the OSR Body of Knowledge..
And there’s one other very exciting thing I will be announcing in due course!
There are complimentary passes for employees of FINOS Member Firms so hurry up and register already!
