Last week we hosted the first annual Open Source Strategy Forum at BNY Mellon in NYC! The event welcomed over 300 attendees from the Fintech, legal, and open source communities.
We were thrilled with the event’s enthusiastic reception. Open source is fueling the next wave of fintech innovation and it was a privilege to share a room with the people making that happen.

The program started with a word of welcome from our Executive Director, Gabriele Columbro, and Matthew Joseph, who heads the Jersey City Innovation Center at BNY Mellon, which hosted OSSF at its amazing Financial District office. They were followed by a terrific series of keynotes from Amber Baldet, J.P. Morgan; Brian Gracely, Red Hat; whurley, Goldman Sachs; and more.

Deutsche Bank’s Yogesh Wagle also took the opportunity to share details on their recent open source contribution to the Symphony Software Foundation, demonstrating how open source is driving fintech strategy and innovation.
The keynotes were followed by a number of interactive sessions across four tracks: executive, legal, community, & technical, and ended with a social event for attendees.
