Normally, the OSR blog is all about, well, Open Source. But today I’m going to share some activity from our sister FINOS group, the InnerSource SIG.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple of weeks, you should be aware of the OSFF conference that happened on the 1st November in grand style in the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York.
Open Source Readiness was featured heavily not only in the keynotes and at our project table (thanks to Brittany Istenes, Cara Delia and Mimi Flynn for their staffing duties) but also in the press release on the state of open source in financial services.

During our recent Open Source in Finance Forum, we had the opportunity to recognize many of the incredible individuals and companies making significant contributions and creating a positive impact in open source in financial services. We're extremely grateful for all of their work, along with so many others, and want to give them another shout out in this post!
This year at FINOS we are focusing on one of FINOS' key existing projects: Open Source Readiness. This is FINOS' term for helping the finance industry "do open source properly".
