Developer Scholarships - Made Possible by GitHub

GitHub is making Developer Scholarships available for developers and technologists at the FINOS flagship event, the Open Source Strategy Forum (OSSF) this November 20th in New York City. 

While there are many new features attendees will notice at the 2019 Open Source Strategy Forum, one of the ones we're most proud of is our increased focus on developers, and the trickle-down effect of there being more developers in attendance on November 20.  
 

OSSF PRIMER: Improving the Impact of your Enterprise Open Source Development and Participation

Linux Foundation AI (LF AI) Foundation Executive Director, Ibrahim Haddad, is speaking at the FINOS flagship event, the Open Source Strategy Forum (OSSF) this November 20th in New York City. 

His talk "Improving the Impact of your Enterprise Open Source Development and Participation" will offer a practical guide to a number of practices that enterprises can adopt to help them grow their footprint in open source projects. Furthermore, the talk touches on the challenges enterprises face and how to overcome them. 

What follows is some primer material to his OSSF talk.

 

OSSF PRIMER: Case Study: Challenges to Supporting Open Data, Richard Robinson, Bloomberg

Bloomberg Head of Strategy and Standards for Open Data, Rich Robinson, is speaking at the FINOS flagship event, the Open Source Strategy Forum (OSSF) this November 20th in New York City. 

His talk "Case Study: Challenges to Supporting Open Data" will give a synopsis of the work Bloomberg L.P. Has done with the Object Management Group in the development and support of the Financial Instrument Identifier (FIGI), the only open data identification framework for financial instruments. 

What follows is some primer material to his OSSF talk.
