We're excited to shine a spotlight on Paula Paul in this month's FINOS Community Spotlight.
Paula is a Distinguished Engineer with Greyshore Associates and serves on the board of the OpenJS Foundation. As a recently appointed FINOS Ambassador, Paula has made a significant impact on our community as host of an inaugural event in Boston last month focusing on open source in finance and DEI initiatives. Paula is a maintainer of the FINOS A11y Theme Builder project and is actively involved in the Linux Foundation’s Theme Builder Mentorship, sponsored by Discover Financial Services. Additionally, she is a key participant in the FINOS DEI SIG and will be speaking at the Open Source in Finance Forum in London on June 26th.
Paula’s dedication to open source, mentorship, and diversity is truly inspiring. Her leadership and expertise exemplify the core values of FINOS, making a significant difference in our collective mission to drive open innovation in financial services.
We are also thrilled to announce that Paula is the newest member of the FINOS Technical Oversight Committee (TOC). In this role, she will help guide the strategic direction of FINOS projects. The next TOC meeting will be on Wednesday, July 3rd, at 12 pm EST / 5 pm BST. The second round of voting is scheduled for 6 September 2024, after the summer break, which means that - if you’re an active FINOS contributor, or employed by a FINOS Member - you still have 2 months to submit your candidacies via GitHub issues.
We are proud to recognize Paula Paul’s contributions and look forward to her continued influence in the community.
