Choosing the Right Open Source Model for your Goals, James Vasile (Open Tech Strategies)

To successfully engage in collaborative development, each company must tailor its open source approach to its goals and resources. This talk, based on a recept report by Open Tech Strategies and Mozilla, explores fitting business needs to common open source patterns to create a strategy to maximize return on open source investments.

Demo: Zero Downtime Trading Web UX (OpenFin with ODP OpenShift CI/CD), Alessandro Petroni, Director of Strategy and Solutions, FinServ/FinTech and Matthew Ward, Senior Principal Architect (Red Hat); Chuck Danielsson (OpenFin)

After a presentation of Red Hat's vision for the future of the FINOS Open Development Platform (ODP), Red Hat and OpenFin will present a collaboratively developed proof-of-concept demonstrating an app deployed on OpenFin live-reloading using Red Hat's OpenShift on ODP. Using the OpenFin and OpenShift APIs, a developer can notify a production desktop app that a new UAT version is available and allow the user to swap to the updated app without reloading the OpenFin runtime. The presenters will show how developers can empower users and decision-makers to easily evaluate new features without interrupting their workflows.

Getting the Most from FINOS: the Member Success Initiative, Tosha Ellison (FINOS and eCo Financial Technology)

Member Success is a new initiative focused on understanding our member’s specific Open Source aspirations and challenges and providing them with help, support, and direction to achieve these. This session will introduce our members to the new initiative, exploring what it is, how it can help, and how to make the most of your FINOS membership.

How FINOS Collaboration Works, Aaron Williamson (FINOS)

With the addition of several new Programs this year, more members of the FINOS community are involved in running Programs, projects, and working groups.
