April and May have been busy months as new programs have been approved and FDC3 officially launched.
The April board meeting saw a flurry of 4 new programs approved by the board:
The first two programs are starting from scratch, and by the time you read this they should have published their regular meeting schedules, and be ready and eager for interested community members to join.
The other two programs were existing activities brought over from the legacy Symphony Software Foundation, and have both been promoted to top-level programs. These programs continue their previous activities, and remain open to all members of the community to participate.
The FDC3 program (approved earlier in the year) officially launched in mid-May, with over 25 firms now coming together to deliberate on the topic of financial desktop connectivity and collaboration standards. We’re excited to see what these working groups will produce, and expect there to be significant interest and uptake from downstream programs such as Plexus Interop, Hadouken, and Symphony!
For these programs (and more!) you should review their wiki sites (linked above, and also from here) for more information on how to participate!
