As 2021 wraps up and with a quiet week with community projects, we wanted to take a moment to recap some key highlights from the FINOS Community over the past year. FINOS this year has seen incredible growth in members, projects, community participation, and overall engagement with open source in financial services. It has been a huge success, and we want to thank each of you for making it so special.
This year our Open Source Strategy Forum took place in New York and London. With more than 500 in-person attendees, there was momentous energy throughout both events as people reconnected and also met for the first time. Our tremendous growth in engagement mirrors the accelerating adoption of open source across the industry, and this year's OSSF turnout symbolizes just how strong the commitment is for driving open source forward.
The 2021 State of Open Source in Financial Services, which was conducted in partnership with the Linux Foundation Research, Scott Logic, Wipro and GitHub debuted this year, and evaluates key aspects of open source adoption in the financial services industry across leadership, consumption, contribution, governance and culture. With over 300+ respondents from our community, your input and feedback helped assess the current state of Open Source adoption in Financial Services.
Thank you so much for your hard work, contributions and support this year!
We hope everyone has a restful holiday season and are sending you all wishes for a healthy and hopeful 2022.
