Here's what's happening during the week of February 28, 2022 within the FINOS community.
Our Executive Director, Gabriele Columbro will appear on Nasdaq TradeTalks this Friday, March 4th at 12pm ET / 5pm GMT with Nasdaq Global Markets Reporter, Jill Malandrino. They will talk about open sourcing today’s modern economy, open source and security, and how FINOS fits into this ecosystem.
We will also hold our first in-person Open Source in Finance in-person Meetup in New York City March 16th. Details coming this week.
FINOS invites you to submit a proposal to present at our Open Source in Finance Forum London and Open Source in Finance Forum New York. Join a diverse global community of open source thought leaders, shakers, and finance experts. We welcome welcome submissions from anyone with advice, experience, and best practices to share.
The Financial Objects SIG is looking for participants in the broader community for input and experiences with the XBRL standard, the ISO 20022 Mappings standard, and the ESG with OS-Climate standard. If you have any input and experience to share, we encourage you to comment on the GH issues for XBRL, ISO 20022 Mappings, and ESG with OS-Climate to drive out the conversation further.
FINOS is seeking a talented individual who can define, drive and help execute a technology strategy that enables financial services firms and the entire FINOS ecosystem to realize the value of open source in financial services. If you are interested or know someone who would be a good fit, we encourage you to apply to our open Senior Technical Architect position.
Lastly, making your first open source contribution is easier than you think. A great place to start contributing is finding issues marked a "good first issue" in the FINOS Github organization!
