FINOS is thrilled to announce the release of the FINOS Community Microsite that hosts a wide array of FINOS documentation, including the FINOS Project Lifecycle, FINOS Governance Materials, and information related to wider FINOS Collaboration. 

The FINOS Community Microsite is an information reference point for FINOS Project and SIG leads, and the wider FINOS Community, so we are keen to hear your feedback that can be given on the FINOS Community Repo by Raising a GitHub Issue, Raising a Pull Request or by emailing help@finos.org.

FINOS is excited to announce that Niamh Parker has joined us as our new Marketing Manager. Based in the UK, Niamh has previous marketing and PR experience at both Symphony and Broadridge. Niamh and the rest of the marketing team will be reaching out to FINOS member firms to get you involved in member thought leadership and project content.

Back in January, FINOS invited you to comment on the formation of the FINOS Technical Steering Committee through an Open RFC. Given the successful TSC socialization, FINOS is excited to invite engaged and active, knowledgeable and professional FINOS participants to Join the FINOS TSC. Register your interest now if this sounds like you!     

FINOS is inviting speakers to submit proposals for Open Source in Finance Forum, London happening on Wednesday 13th July 2022. Submit your Proposal Now and join our growing list of financial services experts. If you’re not sure about your abstract, contact the FINOS team and we’ll be more than happy to help.

Finally, we have exciting news to share as FINOS Executive Director, Gabriele Columbro, has been announced as a shortlist award finalist for the US Banking Tech Awards under the Tech Leadership category. Congratulations Gab and good luck from FINOS!

• The Currency Reference Data project is creating a standard object to represent currency data, and a central cloud based repository of the currency data. Modeling is being done in the FINOS hosted instance of Legend Studio.

• 9am ET / 2pm BST. FDC3 Context Data & Intents Discussion Group
• At the FDC3 Use Cases Roundtable London, participants agreed that the FDC3 lexicon needs to be expanded, both with additional intents and context types to support Use Cases, but also to include more primitive data types in order to construct complex types. A number of participants also agreed that now is an appropriate time to expand the Lexicon.
• This group is being convened to discuss and arrange work to contribute further Context types and Intents to support Use Cases being implemented by participants.
